Mindful Technology Workshop
Sunday April 21, 12-2
One Point One Annex
In a world that is constantly vying for our attention, mindfulness is more important than ever. Our smartphones and communication apps were designed to be addictive and time-consuming. It's no wonder we feel pulled to check and then depleted after the mindless scroll.
Join Kayla, a marketing and communications professional, who has developed strategies to distance herself from the technological pull over the last decade working in the social media field. This workshop will help you create space and healthy relationships with your devices and the addictive apps that are found within them. We will cover digital wellness, focus tools, mindful technology, and meditation techniques.
This will be a discussion and journaling-based workshop, so come prepared to write and talk. Cost is $30. Available in person only.

MEET KAYLA
Kayla Hersperger (she/her) is a Pittsburgh-based yoga teacher and student.
She first experienced yoga in 2006 during her collegiate dancer training. Trauma brought her back to the practice in 2015, and when it helped her heal, she committed to the study and practice. She completed her 200-hour training at One Point One Yoga in 2017. Teaching yoga has been the greatest joy of her life, and she feels grateful for the opportunity to spread this practice to others. She hopes students leave her classes feeling strong, safe, supported, and self-aware.
Kayla remains mindful that physical asana is just the tip of the yogic iceberg as she integrates the wisdom of yoga into daily life with breath work, meditation, and spiritual considerations. Kayla is passionate about equality, veganism, and the environment.
In her class, expect, creative sequencing inspired by fire and music, always linked with an intention and supported by the breath. Her classes are challenging and fun, providing a safe space for students to try new things and explore the boundaries of their practice. All levels are welcome and modifications will be provided, but some vinyasa experience is recommended for the best experience.

For students wanting to deepen their understanding of their yoga practice, Kayla offers private yoga instruction, in studio, home, or virtual.
